In addition to informing research and practice, key goals of the Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Community Development (JAFSCD) are minimizing barriers and maximizing opportunities for people in historically disadvantaged categories and in underserved and under-resourced communities. To assess our progress toward these goals, we need to measure our progress toward greater impact on and inclusion over time. We conducted a baseline using this survey in 2017.

We hope that you share our goal of helping JAFSCD to foster diversity and inclusion and are willing to share what some may consider to be sensitive information about race, ethnicity, age, gender, and sexual identity, as well as your experiences with JAFSCD. Your participation is voluntary. Your responses to this questionnaire are anonymous and confidential, and all results will be presented in aggregated form so that no individual respondent will be identifiable. In addition, for many questions we offer the option "prefer not to respond." Because it is thorough, the survey will take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for helping us grow a higher-impact and more inclusive JAFSCD!
